Welcome to justcrew.co.uk. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and services as a professional event crew and staffing company based in London. By using our website or booking our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
1. Definitions
In these Terms, the following definitions apply:
Business Day: Any day other than Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday when banks in London are open for business.
Charges: Fees payable by the Client for services as outlined in a quotation or, if no quotation exists, as specified in JustCrew’s rate card at the commencement date, subject to updates notified to the Client.
Client: The individual or company purchasing services from JustCrew.
Commencement Date: The date the contract between JustCrew and the Client begins, either upon written confirmation or when services start.
Contract: The agreement between JustCrew and the Client for the supply of services under these Terms.
Crew: Personnel provided by JustCrew to perform services.
Data Protection Legislation: All applicable UK laws on data protection, including the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.
JustCrew Materials: All equipment, documents, tools, and materials provided by JustCrew for service delivery.
Intellectual Property Rights: All patents, trademarks, copyrights, designs, database rights, and any other proprietary rights in any jurisdiction.
Quotation: JustCrew’s detailed project proposal or estimate for the services.
Services: The services provided by JustCrew as described in the Quotation or agreed in writing.
Specification: Description or specification of services in the Quotation or agreed in writing.
Venue: The location where services will be performed, as specified in the Quotation or agreed in writing.
2. Interpretation
References to a person include individuals, companies, or unincorporated bodies.
References to a party include successors and permitted assigns.
References to statutes include amendments or re-enactments and subordinate legislation.
Words like “including” or “in particular” are illustrative, not restrictive.
“Writing” includes emails.
3. Basis of Contract
A Client’s order or offer becomes a contract when JustCrew confirms the booking in writing or begins service performance.
These Terms represent the entire agreement and supersede all previous communications.
Any descriptive materials, samples, or website content are illustrative and do not form part of the contract.
Client terms conflicting with these Terms are only valid if expressly confirmed in writing by JustCrew.
4. Supply of Services
JustCrew will provide services in accordance with the Specification.
Dates specified are estimates; time is not of the essence.
JustCrew may modify services to comply with law or safety requirements.
Services are provided with reasonable care and skill.
Instructions from the Client must be confirmed in writing. JustCrew is not liable for errors from unconfirmed verbal instructions.
Crew are insured under employers’ and public liability insurance.
5. Client Responsibilities
Clients must:
Ensure quotation and specification accuracy.
Cooperate with JustCrew regarding services.
Provide venue access (including utilities).
Supply information and materials needed for service delivery.
Obtain necessary licenses, permissions, and consents.
Maintain JustCrew Materials safely and return them after use.
Not give cash or valuables to Crew without JustCrew consent.
Report any breaches of health and safety rules by Crew or hazards.
Comply with Working Time Regulations for Crew.
Ensure health, safety, and welfare facilities meet legal requirements.
Provide Crew with venue-specific induction and necessary training.
Supervise Crew according to agreed instructions; Crew remain under Client control on-site.
Provide additional specialist protective equipment if required.
If the Client delays or prevents JustCrew from fulfilling obligations, JustCrew may suspend performance and recover costs resulting from the Client’s actions.
6. Charges & Payment
Prices are as per the Quotation.
Deposits may be required; payment terms specified in quotation.
Payments must be made on invoice receipt or within agreed credit terms.
All amounts exclude VAT. VAT is payable alongside the Charges.
Late payments incur interest at 4% per annum above Bank of England base rate, compounded quarterly.
Unpaid amounts may be forwarded for third-party collection, with Client liable for collection costs.
Client may not withhold payments by claiming set-off or counterclaims.
7. Intellectual Property
All Intellectual Property Rights in the services and materials remain with JustCrew.
Third-party rights used require a valid license; Client’s use is conditional on this license.
Client grants JustCrew a non-exclusive license to use provided materials for the contract term.
JustCrew Materials remain the property of JustCrew.
- Clients are strictly prohibited from contacting individual JustCrew members directly for the purpose of hiring. All engagements must be arranged through JustCrew. Violation of this policy may result in a fine.
8. Confidentiality
Parties must keep confidential all business, technical, or commercial information disclosed.
Disclosure is only permitted to those who need the information for contractual purposes.
Obligations survive contract termination.
- Each member of JustCrew is prohibited from taking or distributing any photographs or videos related to the event without written permission. All information and materials are strictly confidential.
9. Limitation of Liability
Liability covers breaches of contract or negligence by JustCrew or our staff.
Liability does not cover: indirect losses, loss of profit, loss of business, or reputational loss.
Liability for death or personal injury, fraud, or statutory rights cannot be limited.
Total liability is limited to Charges paid under the contract.
Claims must be reported within 90 days.
- Each member of JustCrew holds personal work insurance. Additionally, JustCrew provides insurance covering all members for the duration of each project.
10. Data Protection
Both parties must comply with Data Protection Legislation.
Each party must obtain consents, implement safeguards, and report personal data breaches promptly.
Personal data processing must follow each party’s privacy policy.
Transfers outside the EEA require prior written approval.
11. Termination
JustCrew or the Client may terminate with immediate effect if:
A material breach occurs and is not remedied within 30 days.
Insolvency, bankruptcy, liquidation, or equivalent events occur.
Ceasing or threatening to cease business operations.
Death or incapacity of an individual Client.
Client fails to pay any due amount.
12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
Any disputes will be resolved in UK courts.
13. Amendments
JustCrew may update these Terms at any time.
Updates are posted on the website with a new effective date.
Continued use of services after updates implies acceptance.
